Nancy Noreen Davidson's Obituary
Nancy Noreen Davidson, 69, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born on November 15, 1946 in Phenix City, Alabama the daughter of Orris Elmer Cook and Ellen Davis Cook. On December 10, 1969 she married Marion "Pete" Davidson in Robinson, IL. He passed away on March 6, 2013. Survivors include brothers, Ted (Cheryl) Cook of Jamaica, VT and Dale (Linda) Cook of Kingsport, KY; sister, Joy (James) Heidmous of Stafford, VA; daughter, Ellen Ochsenbein of New Goshen, IN; stepson, Dale Harthan of the Dominican Republic; stepdaughters, Dawn Wallace of Martinsville, IL and Bobbie Arrasmith of Paris, IL; daughter in law, Vicky Davidson of Martinsville, IL; brother in law, David Davidson of Knoxville, TN; sisters in law, JoAnn Elkins of Oblong, IL; Ann Crites of Casey, IL and Janice Crites of Casey, IL; fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Mitch Cook and stepson, Gary Davidson. Nancy attended Leland & Gray High School in Townshend, Vermont. She attended the Willis Chapel Church in Casey, IL. For many years Pete and Nancy operated The Children's Home in Paris, IL. They later were the owners and operators of the Red Shed Restaurant in Casey, IL and Reflections Restaurant in Charleston, IL. Nancy spent many years actively working with Pete in the Clark County Shrine Club and the Shriners Hospitals for Children, an organization they held dear to their hearts. Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL with Rev. Dan Ledley officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110 or the American Cancer Society, 2509 S. Neil St, Champaign, IL 61820.
