N. Lucinda "Cinda" Parker, age 85, of Westfield Township, died on Monday, September 26, 2005 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at the Markwell and Son Funeral Home in Casey with Rev. Jeff Loper officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the funeral home and burial will be in Bean Cemetery. She was born December 12, 1919 in Martinsville (Dolson Township), the daughter of Frederick Alanson and Eula Catherine Stephenson Hammond. She married Charles H. Parker on February 21, 1939 in Marshall; he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Ashmore, Clark County Home Extension and the Westfield United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Parker of Kansas, son Terry Frederic Parker and wife Sue of Kansas, daughter DeAnn Sue Parker of Westfield, sister Roxanna Thompson and husband Frank of Conroe, TX, brothers Benjamin Alanson Hammond and wife Irma Jean of Marshall and Riley Alan Hammond and wife Marjorie of Kansas, grandchildren Charles Rodney Parker, Terry Douglas Parker, Wendy Sue Fuller, John Wesley Parker and Darin Paul Urick, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Frederick Howell Hammond. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
