Myrtle Ann Bostick's Obituary
Myrtle Ann Bostick, 81, of Casey, Illinois formerly of Decatur, Illinois, passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, September 7, 2009 at her home. She was born September 25, 1927 in Brighton, Illinois, the daughter of Harvey Hamilton and Cora Bricker Hamilton. In 1945, she married James Housel. She later married Jess Bostick, Jr. on December 21, 1966 in Decatur, Illinois. He passed away on November 8, 2003. Survivors include son, Jerry Housel of Emington, IL; son, Wesley "Bucky" Housel of Casey, IL; daughter, Sue Ghast of Robinson, IL; brother, William Hamilton and wife Patsy of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Dusty Blanchard and husband Jason of Casey, IL; Shawn Clements of Robinson, IL; Billy Ghast of Casey, IL; Jay Housel of Casey, IL; Danielle Courtney and husband Joe of TN; Dana Housel Smith of Decatur, IL; sixteen great grandchildren; stepson, Eddie Joe Bostick and wife Brenda of Springfield, IL; stepdaughter, Cheryl Ann McEvers of Murrayville, IL; stepdaughter, Vickie Webb of Cooperton, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husbands, son, Danny Housel and sister, Kathleen Weinmann preceded her in death. Mrs. Bostick was a homemaker. She previously lived in Quincy, IL and Decatur, IL before moving to Casey in 1994. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Mark Copley officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
