Mildred Jean Truelove's Obituary
Mildred Jean (Bertholf) Truelove, age 83, of Casey, IL formerly of Martinsville, IL left our world to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born July 15, 1941 in Bremerton, WA, the daughter of Eugene Marion Bertholf and Una Mignon (Uzzell) Bertholf. On June 20, 1959 she married Norman Leon Truelove, Sr. in Bremerton, WA; he passed away on September 4, 2021.
Survivors include her daughter, Ronda Wilson of Casey, IL; son, Norman L. Truelove, Jr. of Martinsville, IL; son, Daniel P. Truelove of Casey, IL; son, Jeffrey A. Truelove (Lori) of Casey, IL; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband; daughter, Christina Mignon Truelove; son, John Eugene Truelove; granddaughter, Audria Mignon Truelove; daughter-in-law, Richel Truelove; brother, Kenny Bertholf; sister, Caroline Schumacher.
Mildred was a 1958 graduate of South Kitsap High School in Silverdale, WA. She worked for many years and retired from TRW in Marshall, IL. She later worked part-time at Pap-R Products Co. in Martinsville, IL. She had a love and passion for raising horses. Over the years, she displayed everlasting strength which is a common symbol of a horse 's spirit.
Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Casey First Church of the Nazarene, Casey, IL with Rev. Brian Hancock officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband Norman in a private burial in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL at a later date.
