Mildred Seidler's Obituary
Mildred Reed Seidler, 98 of Charleston, IL and formerly of Westfield, IL passed away at 10:43 am on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Hilltop Nursing Center, Charleston, IL. She was born February 1, 1909 in Hazel Dell, IL, the daughter of Edward Reed and Ella Lawson Reed. On November 28, 1928 she married Edward Seidler; he passed away on December 21, 1958. Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Michael and husband George of Charleston; son, Keith Seidler of Paris, IL; granddaughter, Beverley Coffey and husband Terry of Ashmore, IL; great grandchildren, Christina and Clint Coffey of Ashmore, IL and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, Edward Seidler, six brothers, and three sisters preceded her. Mildred was an excellent cook and loved gardening. She is fondly remembered by her family for making homemade noodles and blackberry pies for the Westfield Restaurant years ago. She was a former store clerk for Benedict's Dime Store and Ben Franklin Store in Charleston, IL for many years. Graveside Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Westfield, IL with Rev. Robert L. Hays officiating. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Great Grandchildren's Education Fund c/o Mrs. Beverley Coffey, Markwell Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Casey, IL 62420.
