Michael Kent Crites' Obituary
Michael Kent Crites, age 65, of Casey, IL passed away unexpectedly at 8:05 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024 at his home. He was born November 25, 1959 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Franklin Denver Crites and Floretta Ann (Davidson) Crites.
Survivors include his children, Kelsey Crites of Charleston, IL and Bryan Crites of Casey, IL; granddaughter, Nakia Crites; great granddaughter, Luna Crites; father, Frank Crites of Casey, IL; brother, Phil Crites (Ann) of Casey, IL; nephews and nieces, Dustha Wahls (Eric), Kristin McVey, Aaron Crites (Annie), Andrew Crites and Megan Dennison (Adam) and many great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Crites; son, Kevin Michael Crites and sister, Donna Sue Stephens.
Mike was a 1978 graduate of Casey High School. He worked for the City of Casey for 28 years and later as a safety supervisor for Bay Safety and Security for Marathon Oil Co. for 10 years. After retirement he worked part time at Kirchner Building Center in Casey. Mike enjoyed woodworking; he especially enjoyed making rocking chairs and knives out of reclaimed wood and scrap metal. He truly enjoyed time with his family. Mike was a member of Casey White Oak Church of God.
At his request no services will be held. Inurnment will be in Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL beside his son Kevin.
