Merle Hupp's Obituary
Frances Merle Hupp, 73, of Westfield, IL passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. She was born August 17, 1936 in Westfield, IL; the daughter of Glen Edward Barbee and Alma Ruth Davis Barbee. On December 20, 1952 she married Harry "Leon" Hupp in Corinth, MS. He passed away on April 13, 2007. Survivors include her son, Dayrel Hupp and wife Joy of Westfield, IL; brother, Charles Barbee and wife Gerrie of Westpoint, MS; grandchildren, Trisha Gilbert and husband James and their children, Hannah, Noah, Ethan and Cole of Westfield, IL; Jared Hupp and wife Natasha and their sons, Trinton Davis, Daryn and Weston Hupp of Westfield, IL and Neeley Hawkins and husband Steve of Casey, IL. Her parents, husband, sister, Donna Rardin; son, Michael Leon Hupp and nephew Jeremy Davis preceded her in death. Merle was a fifty-year member of the Westfield Baptist Church in Westfield, IL and a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Westfield Baptist Church in Westfield, IL with Rev. Jim Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Richwoods Cemetery, Westfield, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Westfield Baptist Church in Westfield, IL. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Westfield Baptist Church Elevator Fund, P.O. Box 192, Westfield, IL 62474.
