Maxine Baker's Obituary
Maxine Baker, 91, of Casey, Illinois, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on October 13, 2009, at her residence. She was born on February 9, 1918 in Hazel Dell, Illinois, the daughter of Harve Emory Loehr and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Helen Kline Loehr. She married O.E. "Slim" Baker, he passed away in 1964. Survivors include sons, Allen Baker of Casey, IL and Jim Baker of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Amber Brandenburg and husband Michael of Casey, IL, Milissa Porter of Casey, IL, Travis Allison of Martinsville, IL and Kyle Stoops of Effingham, IL; great grandchildren, Shaden Porter, Saidee Brandenburg, Levi Brandenburg and Zoen Stout and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Ray (Tuffy) Loehr, and sisters, Helen Loehr and Winnie Hall. Maxine worked for TRW in Casey until their closing, she then worked and retired from Heartland Manor Nursing Center in Casey, IL. After her retirement, she continued to work as an in-home caregiver. Maxine was a member of the East Side Church of Christ in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Jimmy Rue officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday morning at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorial donations and contributions may be made Casey Township (Kline Memorial) Library, 307 E. Main St., Casey, IL 62420.
