Mary Louise Simpson's Obituary
Mary Louise Simpson, 81, of Casey, IL, died at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday (March 14, 2006) at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Markwell Funeral Home, in Casey, IL, with Mr. Dana Trimble officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Mary was born April 2, 1924 in Casey, IL, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Brandenburg and Kathryn Valley Bland Brandenburg. She married Leo Leroy Simpson on Aug. 16, 1942 in St. Charles, MO; he died Feb. 3, 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Blackwood and husband William of Herndon, VA; one granddaughter, Regan Blackwood and husband Shawn Mole of Blacksburg, VA; sister, Melva Wilcox and husband Robert of Casey, IL; niece, Amy Mullen and husband Gilbert of Casey, IL; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Mrs. Simpson had retired as a secretary from McQuay Norris in Casey, IL. She was a 1942 graduate of Casey High School. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, walking on the beach and spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to the Casey Township Library, 307 E. Main St., Casey, IL 62420 or the organization of donor's choice.
