Mary Elizabeth Kile's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Kile, 86, of Newman, IL, formerly of Villa Grove, IL, and Martinsville, IL, passed away at 1:32 P.M. on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Newman Rehab and Health Care Center, Newman, IL. She was born November 18, 1923, in Anderson Twp., Clark County, IL, the daughter of Ernest Shotts and Viola Walker Shotts. On April 16, 1944, in Casey, IL, she married Wilbur Wayne Kile. He passed away on April 14, 1995. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Kile Hoffman and husband Lee of Villa Grove, IL; granddaughter, Kilee Elizabeth Hoffman of Villa Grove, IL, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Ernest Robert (Bob) Shotts and Glen Eugene (Woody) Shotts. Mrs. Kile was a teacher in the one-room schools in Martinsville, IL, South Center, and then later at Martinsville Jr. and Sr. High School. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church, Martinsville, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL, with Bro. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, 702 Barnhill Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
