Mary Velma Hunsaker's Obituary
Mary Velma Hunsaker, 99, of Casey, IL passed away at 5:30 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Heritage Health in El Paso, IL. She was born May 12, 1915 south of Casey, IL to William Daniel Howe and Cora Alice Montgomery Howe. She married William Carter Hunsaker on April 13, 1935. Mary and Bill farmed for many years north of Yale where they raised their family. They moved to Casey in 1980 when they retired from the farm. Bill preceded her in death on May 16, 1985. Mary is survived by two sons, Robert Allen Hunsaker (Janet), El Paso, IL and Loren Dean Hunsaker (Elizabeth), Palatine, IL. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Greg (Elaine) Hunsaker, Hudson, IL, Lynn (Mark) Wiemold, Arlington Heights, IL, Marla (Mark) Bradley, Palatine, IL, and Mark (Roxanne) Hunsaker, Elk Grove Village, IL; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, two brothers, Leland & Russell Howe, and two sisters Ruby Slusser & Mildred Howe. Mary attended Casey United Methodist Church. She was a hard working farmer's wife who loved her family very much. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Hazel Dell South Cemetery, Hazel Dell, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N.
