Mary Lucile Woodyard Hackett's Obituary
Mary Lucile Woodyard Hackett, 95, of Westfield, IL passed away at 9:36 a.m., Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Hilltop Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Charleston, IL. She was born August 7, 1916 in Morgan Township, Coles County, IL, the daughter of Jesse Robert Woodyard and Flora Ethel Courtney Woodyard. On October 28, 1938, she married Donald Merrill Hackett in Calhoun, Kentucky. He passed away on February 24, 1984. Survivors include children, Shirley (Lawrence) McKinney of Westfield, IL, James Hackett of Charleston, IL, Robert (Mary A) Hackett of Kansas, IL, Mary Kay (Farrell) Smitley of Charleston, IL, and Jerry (Tami) Hackett of Westfield, IL, sisters, Gladys Lafferty and Pauline Wright both of Charleston, IL and brother, Robert Lowell Woodyard of Charleston, IL. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, John Woodyard and Earl Woodyard; sisters, Olive Cole and Inez Manning; grandson, Jeffrey McKinney; great granddaughter, Whitney McKinney and daughter-in-law Mary L (Toody) Hackett. Mary worked at Rennels Grocery store in Westfield and later retired from the J & F Grocery Store in Westfield. She also worked at the Brown Shoe Company in Charleston. She was a member of the Westfield United Methodist Church, the Westfield Home Extension and Westfield Senior Citizens. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Westfield United Methodist Church with Pastor Walter Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Westfield United Methodist Church, Westfield, IL.
