Mary Margaret Guinn's Obituary
Mary Margaret Guinn, 91, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 11:26 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born on October 15, 1923 in Martinsville, IL the daughter of John Lee Hardway and Nannie Ethel Carper Hardway. On December 30, 1950 she married Edward Milton Guinn, Sr. in Wichita, KS. He passed away on January 8, 1997. Survivors include her sons, Charles Guinn and wife Denise of Martinsville, IL; Robert Guinn and wife Jane of Olney, IL and George Guinn and wife Patricia of Friendswood, TX; stepdaughter, Bette Jo Davis of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Kenny Hardway of Martinsville, IL; sisters, Sharon Daughhetee and Gwen Hammond, both of Martinsville, IL; ten grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Eddie Guinn, daughter, Marianne Guinn and a great granddaughter. Mrs. Guinn was a 1940 graduate of Martinsville High School. She worked as a secretary at Rowe Foundry until her retirement. Mary was a lifetime member of the Martinsville Bible Church. She helped start the Awana Youth Program at the church and continued to be very involved with it over the years. Mary was a loving mother and kept busy raising her sons. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Martinsville Bible Church, 509 E. Ridgelawn Rd., Martinsville, IL with Pastor David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday evening at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
