Mary Catherine Goble's Obituary
Mary Catherine Goble, age 79 of Casey died at 9:25 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey with Rev. Gene Ellis and Rev. Tim Oakley. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and burial will be in the Casey-Cumberland Cemetery. She was born February 8, 1927 in Westfield, the daughter of Clarence William "Cotton" and Martha Varner Sublett Edwards. She married Marion E. Goble on February 25, 1946 in Chicago; he preceded her in death on March 10, 1999. She retired after 28 years at SKF in Casey. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Westfield and Clark County Home Extension, the Red Hat Society and the UAW. She was a board member of the Casey Senior Center. Surviving are a son, Terry Goble and wife Dorothy Mae of Casey, daughters Mary Ann Tucker and husband George of Jewett, Carol Ellington and husband Robert of Martinsville and Cheryl McIntyre and husband Joseph of Casey, brothers Wayne Dean Edwards and wife Patty of Charleston, Keith Edwards and wife Barbara and Donald Lee Edwards and wife Mary, all of Westfield, sister Irma Jean Hammond and husband Benjamin of Marshall; 10 grandchildren, Amy Tucker, Russell Allen Tucker and wife Lisa, Phillip Michael Tucker, Michelle Goble, Tony Goble, Kerry Jo Ellington, Melissa Oakley and husband Tim, Jessica McIntyre, Amanda McIntyre and Matthew McIntyre, five step-grandchildren: Jeanette Fisher, Pam Mullen and husband Brad, Lori Rodgers, Virgil Rodgers and wife Sherry, Connie Hickox and husband Stacy; eight great-grandchildren: Catherin Louer, Russell Allen Tucker, Jr., Victoria Tucker, Quinton Lowe, Jordan Lowe, Dylan Lowe, Hunter Lowe, and Mikayla Jodry, nine step-great grandchildren and one step-great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Charles Edwards and William Clarence Edwards, Jr. and half-sister Margaret Edwards Warner.
