Mary Jane Barnett's Obituary
Mary Jane Barnett, 79, of Casey, IL passed away at 2:01 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. She was born November 10, 1928 in Casey, Illinois, the daughter of Franklin David Grisamore and Mollie Simpson Vaughn Grisamore. Survivors include her sisters, Helen Roberts and husband Doit of Oakwood, IL; Viola Autrey of Kimball, NE, step children, Jean Emrick of Madison, WI; Shiela Potter of Chicago, IL; Linda Johnson of McKee, KY; Albert "Buddy" Barnett of WI; Cindy Myer of Hammond, IN; Bertie Branetk of Hammond, IN; fourteen step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; nieces, Karen Gouty and husband Mike of Covington, IN; Karla Biberous of Kimball, NE; Terri Simmonds of Attica, IN; Tammy Miller of West Chester IA; nephew, David Autrey and wife Chellie of Kimball, NE and special friend, Marty Crouch of Casey, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Tod Roberts. Mrs. Barnett was a retired waitress and bartender for the Amber Inn in Casey, IL. She was a member of the Casey Moose Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, Illinois with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will be in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
