Mark Strohm's Obituary
Dr. Mark Steven Strohm, 40, of Marshall, IL, and formerly of Terre Haute, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2005, in Carle Hospital from injuries sustained in automobile accident near Westfield, IL, the previous evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Chris Brey officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a liturgical wake service at 8, and 7 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. He was a pharmacist for Union Hospital. He was born Dec. 7, 1964, in Terre Haute to Lester Strohm and Mary Lou Gunder Strohm. He received his degree in pharmacy at Butler University in Indianapolis, his doctorate of pharmacy at the University of Kentucky, and received his post-doctorate degree in pharmacy at the University of Zurich in Zurich, Switzerland. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall. He also was a member of Marshall Golf Course and he loved to hunt and fish. Survivors include a daughter, Morgan Leigh Strohm of Marshall; a son, Carson Stanfield Strohm of Marshall; his parents of West Union, IL; a brother and his fiancÚe, Shannon Strohm and Marcie Currie of West Union; a brother and his wife, Gary and Melody Strohm of Marshall; a sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Brian Walstrum of Avon; his fiancÚe, Jill Fahy, and her daughter, Kate; his grandmother, Gertrude Strohm of Paris, IL; an aunt, Joyce Walker of Paris; an uncle and his wife, Don and Patricia Gunder of Swamwick, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His maternal grandparents, Joe and Ruth Gunder, and his paternal grandfather, Richard Strohm, preceded him in death.
