Marjorie Joan Rosborough Day's Obituary
Marjorie Joan (Edwards) Rosborough Day, age 85, of Casey, IL passed away at 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Charleston Rehab and Health Care Center, Charleston, IL. She was born December 22, 1938 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Herbert Theodore and Margaret Dorothy (Harvey) Edwards.
In 1956 she married Glen Rosborough; they were blessed with four children, Cinthia, Margaret, Janice and Julia. She later married Parvin E. Day on November 5, 1994 in Casey, IL; he passed away in 1999.
Marjorie graduated from Blue Mound High School in 1956 and Maysville Community College in 1977 as a Registered Nurse. She was the Director of Nursing at Heartland Manor in Casey, IL until she suffered an injury in 1980 and was unable to continue her career as a nurse.
Marjorie loved her family more than anything including her cat Ellis. She loved holidays and her home was always decorated for the occasion. Marjorie especially enjoyed providing her family with her wonderful home cooked meals. She loved gardening, flowers and took great pride in sharing bouquets.
Survivors include her daughters, Cinthia Joan Kelley, Margaret Ann Phillips (Shawn), Janice Kay Lowe (Wayne) and Julia Marie Rosborough; grandchildren, Patricia McCoy (Robert), Heather Kelley, Derek Phillips, Cody Phillips (Kristen), Amy Downey, Jeremy Downey (Ashley) Abby Cornell, Sarah Schwartz (Adam) and Cooper Adams; great grandchildren, Blaize, Micheal, Kaitlyn and Cayden McCoy, Ryan Kelley, Hailey Arnold, Zoey Walls, Bristol, Gracie, Kason, Thor and Tully Phillips, Zack Boomhower, Ryker, Bristol and Briar Cornell and Mackenzie and Dawsyn Schwartz; her sister, Herberta Ann Bandy and nieces and nephews.
Marjorie loved the Lord and was anxious to reunite with her parents, her beloved Parvin and her siblings, Dorothy, Norma, Betty, Carol, Sharon and James.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, rural Cumberland County, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
