Marjorie B Hosier's Obituary
Marjorie B. Hosier, 86, formerly of Oblong and Crete, IL, passed away at 9:00 pm on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Casey Health Care Center. Marjorie was born December 23, 1921 to Bessie and Byron Adkisson in rural Clark County. She married Oliver "Sam" Hosier in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Eugene, and three sisters, Alene Richardson, Ruth Adkisson, and Lois Adkisson. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Beth (J.R.) Jennings, of Crete, IL; her granddaughter, Shelli Jennings of Macomb, IL; her grandson, John (Rachel) Jennings II, of Crown Point, IN; one great-granddaughter, Madilyn Kay Jennings; one great-grandson, Thomas Oliver Jennings; and one sister, Harriet (Clifford) Kibler, of Terre Haute, IN. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Marjorie was a dedicated farmwife, mother and grandmother. She was baptized at the age of 16 and was a faithful member of the Walnut Chapel Church of Christ. She loved to quilt, bake, spend time with family, and tell funny stories. Her giving nature and love for others will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11 am at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL with Bros. Jason Hosfield and Billy Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Chapel Church of Christ cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 4 - 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.
