Marie Charnetzki's Obituary
Marie B. Charnetzki, age 85, of Tuscola, died on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Heartland Manor Nursing Center in Casey. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tuscola with Rev. Michael Ruhlig and Rev. Paul Brink officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2005 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home in Tuscola and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Decatur. She was born November 25, 1919 in St. Charles, Mo, the daughter of Fredrick W. and Lydia Sactleben Brink. She married Carl Edwin Charnetzki in 1943; he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught in Decatur schools, and at North Ward and South Ward grade schools, both in Tuscola. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters, Jan Allison of Casey and Ann Carroll of Tuscola, two brothers, Kurt Brink of Storm Lake, IA, and Carl Brink of Decatur, one sister, Ruth Hass of Milwaukee, WI, and two grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Foreign Missions or Lutheran School Association of Decatur.
