Margaret Marie Skinner's Obituary
Margaret Marie (Steele) Skinner, age 80, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born May 4, 1937 in Nashville, TN, the daughter of John Orvil Steele and Sallie Elizabeth Young Steele. On March 10, 1953 she married Don Issacc Skinner in Jacksonville, MS. He passed away on January 10, 1990.Survivors include her children, Donna Marie Skinner of Tolono, IL; Don B. Skinner (Penny) of Martinsville, IL; Patsy Jean Clark of Celina, TN; Elizabeth Ann Thornburgh (Eddie) of Martinsville, IL and John Issacc Skinner of Martinsville, IL; nine grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren, two great grandchildren on the way and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, John Bailey Steele; sister, Orvalene Goin; infant twin sister, Mary Margaret Steele; son in law, Marvin Proffitt; daughter in law, Patricia Ann Skinner and great grandchild, Jayden Skinner.Margaret worked at the Hen House Restaurant for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Marshall VFW Women"™s Auxiliary where she has previously served as Past President and Past District President. She enjoyed embroidery and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Martinsville, 5 Trotter Lane, Martinsville, IL.
