Margaret Ellen Roberts' Obituary
Margaret Ellen Roberts, 85, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born July 4, 1929 in Casey, IL the daughter of Walter Rude and Edith Ping Rude. Survivors include her sons, Ed Roberts and wife Susan of East Alton, IL; Jack Roberts and wife Brenda of Casey, IL; Mike Roberts and wife Connie of Casey, IL and David Roberts of Casey, IL; sister, Iris Fairfield and husband Don of Indian Wells, CA; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Thedis Howard, Lois Buchan, Geraldine Pod Nebergall and Mildred Beard. Margaret was a 1948 graduate of Casey High School. She was a homemaker and kept very busy raising her family. Known to all that knew her, Margaret was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Friday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
