Marble Georgia Noblit's Obituary
Marble Georgia Noblit, 85, of Newton, Illinois, formerly of Oblong and Casey, Illinois passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Newton Rest Haven Nursing Home in Newton, Illinois. She was born on January 25, 1923 in Casey, Illinois, the daughter of George Warren Coleman and Elizabeth Lacey Coleman. On December 14, 1941 she married Herschel L. Noblit in St. Charles, Missouri. He passed away on May 31, 1987. Survivors include son, Herschel Eugene Noblit and wife Ramona of Oblong, IL; daughter, Shirley Wegner and husband Newt of Newton, IL; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, brothers, Ralph, Harlen and Don Coleman and sisters Maxine Wilkins and Margaret Roberts preceded her in death. Mrs. Noblit was retired after forty years as a top stitcher for Ettlebrick Shoe Manufacturing Company in Casey and Robinson, IL. She enjoyed quilting and made many quilts throughout her lifetime. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice. Memorial tributes and condolences may be sent to the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com.
