Mae Lucille Moore's Obituary
Mae Lucille Moore, 102, of Marshall, IL passed away at 5:45 a.m. on December 19, 2013 at her granddaughter's home and at 102 years of age, she will be spending her first Christmas in Heaven. What joy! She was born June 10, 1911 in Scottland, IL, the daughter of Harland Elmer Quillen and Jennie Mae Petty Quillen and grew up with a brother Ralph and sisters Doris and Elizabeth. On September 17, 1932 she married her sweetheart Floyd N. Moore in Paris, IL and the following year their only child Harold L. Moore was born. Mae and Floyd shared 67 years together before he passed away on April 30, 2000. She is survived by her granddaughter, Tamara E. Burgett and husband Matt of Marshall, IL; step grandson, Eric Boyer and wife Melody of Marshall, IL; step granddaughter, Robin Pancake and husband Todd of Marshall, IL; great grandsons, Ryan Nicholson and wife Brandy and Ryan Hartbank, all of Marshall, IL; great great grandsons, Gatlin and Gage Nicholson; great step grandchildren, Kyla Boyer, and Chloe and Corey Pancake; sister, Elizabeth Caprio of Westport, CT; daughter in law, Gloria Moore of Marshall, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Harold Moore; daughter in law, Phyllis Hornbrook Moore; granddaughter, Bethany Noller, brother, Ralph Quillen, and sister, Doris Sidenbender. Mae completed the 8th grade at Pleasant Hill Elementary. She was always sad that she was not able to complete high school. At the age of 22 she received Jesus Christ as her Savior and she served Him her entire life. Mae was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Marshall, IL for more than 50 years. She was a homemaker and loved quilting and embroidery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. Graveside services will follow at the Marshall Cemetery, Marshall, IL with Rev. Jeff Loper officiating.
