Mabel M Glenn's Obituary
Mabel M. Glenn, 99, of Hazel Dell, IL passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born February 4, 1913 in Jasper County, IL, the daughter of Demia Hazel Copeland. On September 21, 1931, she married Willis Esco Glenn in Cumberland County, IL. He passed away in 1958. Survivors include daughter, Ann Lawhead and husband Kenny of Hazel Dell, IL; son, Allen Glenn and wife Donna of Greenup, IL; sister, Mary O'Dell of Hemet, CA; grandson, Dave Glenn and wife Mendi of Effingham, IL; three step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband; son, Charles Arthur Glenn; sister, Olive O'Dell and brother in law, Russell O'Dell. Mrs. Glenn was a retired cook for Birchwood Nursing Home, Casey, IL. She was a member of the Hazel Church of God, where she was a former Sunday school teacher for many years. She was formerly a member of the Hickory Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Hazel Dell Church of God with Rev. Rick Emrich and Rev. Doug Ashby officiating. Burial will follow in the Hazel Dell Cemetery, Hazel Dell, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Hazel Dell Church of God, 124 West Main Street, Hazel Dell, IL 62428. Memorial tributes may be sent to the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com.
