Lynn Williams' Obituary
Lynn Williams was born in Westfield, Illinois on December 2, 1935 to Helen (Shoot) Williams and Charles Williams. During WWII the family lived in Chillicothe, Illinois and moved to Casey, Illinois in 1945.Lynn graduated Casey High School in 1953 and attended Eastern University in Charleston, Illinois and Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.He married his high school sweetheart Karen Sullivan in1955, and made their home in Morris, Illinois while he worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Joliet, Illinois in the Computer Department. From there he was employed at Columbia Records in Terre Haute, Indiana. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1963 as Manager of the Computer Department for Sears. In 1966 he was transferred to Chicago, Illinois and eventually was working in the Sears Tower downtown Chicago.But God had other plans for him and in 1974, during the recession, 500 executives were laid off in one day"¦.and Lynn, was one of them. Lynn & family ended up in Orlando, Florida, where the family began attending Pine Castle United Methodist Church. As new members they attended a class led by Charlotte Yates who introduced him to Jesus Christ and his life was forever changed.His love for Jesus led him to Pine Castle Christian Academy where he was employed in 1985 and retired in 2002. He and his wife hosted and led Bible Studies off and on in their home since 1981.His life here ended on 8-28-17 and began his new life where he joined his daughter, Lyniece, in Heaven.He was preceeded in death by his parents and daughter, Lyniece. He is survived by wife, Karen of 62 years; son, Robert (wife Gabi), grandchildren, Seth, Caleb, Max, Indy & Justin, and great-granddaughter, Gracie Lyniece. He is also survived by a sister, Sandy Anderson (Jack), brothers, Richard and Chuck Williams (Mitzi) and several nieces and nephews.In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pine Castle United Methodist Church.
