Lucille Bell's Obituary
Lucille Bell, 96, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:52 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born on July 14, 1918 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Edward Lee and Vera Rooks Lee Shawver. On August 8, 1936, Lucille married Robert Fuson Bell. He passed away on August 23, 1985. Survivors include her daughters, Judith A. Holaday of Rockville, IN and Kathy S. Grant and husband James of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband; brother, Herbert J. Lee and sister, Maxine Mills. Lucille graduated from Casey High School in 1936. With her husband Robert, she was co-owner of Bell's Jewelry for over 40 years. Lucille was a member of the Casey First Baptist Church, the Business Professional Women's Club and the Casey Women's Club. She also enjoyed reading and working with flowers, but most of all she was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
