Lola Ruth Cox's Obituary
Lola Ruth Cox, 91, of Casey, IL passed away at 10:25 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at her home. She was born February 5, 1923 in Yale, IL, the daughter of Charles Theron Huddleston and Bertha Pearl Worden Huddleston. On September 27, 1941 she married Clem Cox in St. Charles, MO. He passed away on June 18, 1991. Survivors include her son, Charles "Butch" Cox and wife Sandy of Casey, IL; grandson, Ron Cox and wife Stephanie of Casey, IL; granddaughter, Cindy Nieukirk and husband Shane of Webster Groves, MO; great granddaughters, Natasha Cox and fiancé Travis Young; Caitlyn Cox and Victoria Cox and great grandson, Benjamin Nieukirk. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Rex, Buck, Eugene and Bob Huddleston; sisters, Grace Spencer, Madge Pippin, Mildred Leohr and Gladys Newlin and granddaughter, Vicki Lyn Cox. Lola was retired from Ettlebrick Shoe Company in Casey, IL. She attended the Casey First Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Ladies of the Moose. Lola enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. You could always enjoy a breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee with Lola during the early morning hours at the local McDonalds. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Ellis and Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
