Lois Aileen Wilhoit Moore's Obituary
Lois Aileen (Lashbrook) Wilhoit Moore, age 85, entered eternal rest at 9:21 a.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Heartland Nursing and Rehab Center, Casey, IL with her family at her side. She was born December 8, 1938 in Casey, IL the daughter of James Everett Lashbrook and Hazel Mitchell Lashbrook. On August 21, 1953 she married Larry Clark Wilhoit in Westfield, IL; he passed away on February 28, 1987. She later married Albert Morgan Moore on January 11, 1992 in Westfield, IL; he passed away on October 14, 1998.
Survivors include her children, Doug Wilhoit (Jill) of Westfield, IL; Mike Wilhoit of Westfield, IL; Janet Veach (David) of Westfield, IL and Judy Kolvenbach (Phil) of Terre Haute, IN; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, Lorna Oakley and great granddaughter, Paisley Pitts.
Lois was a 1956 graduate of Westfield High School. She continued her education obtaining her CNA license. Lois worked as a EMT for Clark County Ambulance Service; a certified nursing aid for Hilltop, Charleston Manor and Cambridge Nursing Homes and for Med Lab in Charleston, IL. She also assisted with visitations and funerals for Markwell Chapel in Westfield, IL. Lois was a faithful member and organist for Westfield Baptist Church where she also enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Bible school.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Westfield Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Westfield, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. on Thursday morning prior to the service at Westfield Baptist Church, 110 S. Fulton St., Westfield, IL.
