Lois Irene Swick's Obituary
Lois Irene Swick, age 92, of Casey, IL passed away at 2:38 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born July 19, 1926 at home in rural Casey, IL, the daughter of Ira Anderson Chapman and Merle Josie Johnson Chapman. On November 14, 1946 she married Noel W. Swick in Toledo, IL; he passed away on December 20, 1996. Survivors include her children, Victor Swick of Mt. Vernon, IN; Linda Wilhelm of Decatur, IL; Sharon Poorman (Randall) of Robinson, IL and Terry Swick (Sandy) of Charlotte, NC; sister, Martha Reynolds of Casey, IL, ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren and her neighbor (who cared for her for many years) Dorothy Goble (Terry) of Casey, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Verle, Clifford and Ira Chapman, Jr, son in law, Phil Wilhelm and two grandchildren. Lois was a homemaker and cared for people in their homes for many years. She was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church and served as an election judge. Lois enjoyed gardening and flowers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Markwell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer"™s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, 207 S. Prospect Rd., Suite 1, Bloomington, IL 61704.
