Lois Virginia "Powell" Hunsaker's Obituary
Lois Virginia (Powell) Hunsaker, 72, of Yale, IL passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2007 at Williamsburg Healthcare in Crawfordsville, IN. She was born November 28, 1934 in Covington, IN, the daughter of Chester Franklin Powell and Reatha Virginia Grubb Powell. On March 9, 1955 she married Albert M. Hunsaker, he passed away on April 21, 1989. Survivors include her son, Gary Hunsaker of Yale, IL; sister, Beverly Phipps and husband David of Crawfordsville, IN; brother, Dale Powell and wife Becky of Covington, IN; daughter in law, Myra Hollingsworth of Yale, IL; grandchildren, Cheyenne Marie Hunsaker, Brandon Hunsaker and Beth Hunsaker and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband and two sons, Jeffery Hunsaker and Steven Hunsaker preceded her. Mrs. Hunsaker was the former owner of Davis Cafe and KZ Newstand. She worked in dietary service for Heartland Manor and previously worked for Eastern Illinois University. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Covington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. CST on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
