Linda Sue Pierson's Obituary
Linda Sue (Madlem) Pierson, 64, of Casey, IL passed away at 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Clark County, IL. She was born on September 8, 1948 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of James D. Madlem and Pauline E. Ruley Madlem. On April 23, 1966, she married Ronald Gene Pierson in Casey, IL. He passed away on April 26, 2009. Survivors include her sons, Shane Pierson and wife Cortney of Olathe, KS, Travis Pierson and wife Joelle of Olathe, KS, and Troy Pierson and wife Deborah of Mountain Home, ID; her father, Jim Madlem of Casey, IL; brother, David Madlem of Casey, IL; sister, Janice Clement and husband Fred of Martinsville, IL; fiancé, Brad Finney of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Blake, Brynna, Kaelynn, Matilynn, Taylor, Averie, Landon and Lindsay Pierson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline and husband, Ron. Mrs. Pierson was a 1966 graduate of Casey High School. She was a rural mail carrier for the Martinsville Post Office for over seven years and had previously been head of the bakery at IGA in Casey for many years. Linda was a very kind, loving and compassionate person, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping others. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
