Linda Carol Marsh's Obituary
Linda Carol Marsh, age 75, of Casey, IL was called to her heavenly home at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born on August 8, 1947 in Greenville, KY the daughter of Rufus Estel Sparks and Marjorie Isabell Revo Sparks. On August 3, 1968 she married Thomas William Marsh at the First Baptist Church in Fenton, MO.
She leaves behind her loving husband of fifty-four years, Rev. Tom Marsh of Casey, IL; sons, Damon Marsh of Gainesville, FL and Kevin Marsh (Currie) of Mattoon, IL; brothers, Jim Sparks (Mary) of Evansville, IN and Kenneth Sparks of AZ; grandchildren, Matthew Marsh and Jordan Marsh, special friends, Rich and Cheryl Staley of Casey, IL; surrogate grandchildren, Ryan Staley and Kelsey Staley; her Church family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jane Sparks Jackson.
Linda was a 1965 graduate of Lindberg High School in St. Louis, MO. She was a devoted minister 's wife and member of Casey First Baptist Church for over thirty-seven years. Linda faithfully served the Lord and treasured being a pastor 's wife serving alongside Tom in his ministry for their lifetime. Linda had the constant support of Tom during her illness with Alzheimer 's. She also faithfully volunteered in the church, working in the nursery, the Son Shine Center, AWANA and with several church programs. Over the years, she also provided private daycare and babysitting. Linda was a loving wife and mother and cherished her children, grandchildren and all children she provided care for.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Casey First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Vernon Addition Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Casey First Baptist Church, 101 E. Alabama St., Casey, IL 62420
