Linda Marguerite (Lamb) Beaubout's Obituary
Linda Marguerite (Lamb) Beabout, age 99, of Casey, IL passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Heartland Nursing Center in Casey, IL. She was born March 1, 1926 in Casey, IL the daughter of Frank Lamb and Sylvia Ethel (Stinson) Lamb. On August 9, 1947 she married Frederick Fenton Beabout in Charleston, IL. He passed away on October 26, 2010 after sharing 63 years of marriage.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Snearley (Jerry) of Martinsville, IL; son, Scott Beabout of Decatur, IL; daughter in law, Linda Beabout of Charleston, IL; son in law, Roger Ulrey (Dorthea) of Casey, IL; ten grandchildren, Deana Wilson, Darcie Ping, Jennifer Spooner, Lucas Beabout, Brittany Jordon, Mandy Jackson, Nathan Ulrey, Leslie Beasley, Ryan Beabout and John Beabout; twenty-one great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; and several great nephews and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fenton Beabout; daughter, Sue Annette Ulrey; son, Lyle Fenton Beabout; brothers, Kenneth Franklin Lamb, Russell Ely Lamb, Clifford Stinson Lamb and Ronald Floyd Lamb and sister, Doris Vivian (Lamb) Sherwood.
Linda was a 1943 graduate of Casey High School and was a faithful member of the Casey United Methodist Church and UMC Women’s Circle. She co-owned and worked on the family farm most of her life and worked at Walmart in Marshall, IL for twenty-five years. Linda was a member of the Ladies Home Extension from 1947 – 1994 and a lifetime member of Casey VFW Auxiliary. One of Linda’s favorite past times was bowling along with Sherri and Sue. Linda was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Kenny Inman officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
