Linda Kay Blanchard Kibler-Jensen's Obituary
Linda Kay (Blanchard) Kibler-Jensen, age 83, of Dewey, IL formerly of Casey, IL passed away at 4:54 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL. She was born July 9, 1939 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Earnie Bell Blanchard and Martha Viola Shaffer Blanchard. On March 30, 1957 she married Carl Glen Kibler in Moriah, IL; they shared 40 years of marriage before he passed away on November 12, 1997. She later married Eric P. Jensen in September 2004 in Dewey, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Eric Jensen of Dewey, IL; daughters, Rebecca Lynn Kibler (fiancé Roy Wolfe) of Vero Beach, FL and Julie Ann Hardy (Mark) of Rantoul, IL; grandchildren, Joshua Bishop (Amiezel) of Homer, IL, Austyn Bishop of Loda, IL, Audra Bishop of Rantoul, IL, Jenna Musgrave (Isaac) of Rantoul, IL and Lacy Templeton of Rantoul, IL; ten great grandchildren; brothers, Terry Blanchard (Shirley) of Westfield, IL, Rick Blanchard (Susie) of Tuscola, IL and Rodney Blanchard (Melanie) of Ellijay, GA; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Tony Mark Blanchard and sister, Karen Blanchard Shockey.
Linda was a 1958 graduate of Casey High School. She worked in hospitality and owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast. Linda was a member of The Vineyard Church of Central Illinois in Urbana, IL. She enjoyed yardwork, shopping and traveling (especially to Florida and Branson, MO). Linda especially loved the time she spent with her grandchildren; some of her fondest memories were their trips to the Wisconsin Dells.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Blanchard officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Monday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
