Lillian Craig Davidson's Obituary
Lillian Davidson, 89, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 5 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born May 8, 1924 in Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Rory Craig and Ruth Jane Poe Craig. On June 28, 1943, she married Owen Davidson in Marshall, IL. He passed away on September 12, 1975. Survivors include her sister in law, June Davidson of Martinsville, IL and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sisters, Edith Hollingsworth and Eunice Graham; brothers, Walter, Ralph, Floyd, Russell, Rollo and Don Craig and brother in law, Charles Davidson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. Mrs. Davidson worked at Formalite in Marshall, IL for many years. She had previously worked at Florida Transformer in DeLeon Springs, FL. She also delivered newspapers and retired from the circulation department of the Deland Sun News in Deland, FL. Lillian was a member of the Martinsville Baptist Church, Martinsville, IL. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, sewing, reading and working jig saw puzzles and cross word puzzles. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2001 S.
