Lewis Jodry's Obituary
Lewis "Dude" Jodry, age 88, of Martinsville, died on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Heartland Manor Nursing Home in Casey. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville. Visitation was held on June 13, 2005 at the funeral home with Order of the Eastern Star services conducted. Burial was in the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville and graveside Military Rites were performed by the Martinsville American Legion Post #515. He was born February 17, 1917 in Charleston, IL, the son of Charles and Nancy Cobble Jodry. He married Ruth Hill Hawkins on August 26, 1969; she survives. He served his country in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #515, Clark Lodge 603 AF & AM and the Ste. Grace Order of the Eastern Star, all of Martinsville. He retired as a fuel deliveryman from Goben Oil Company in Casey. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Jodry, of Martinsville, step daughter Helen Dorber of Bestal, NY, two step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
