Letha Belle Romines' Obituary
Letha Belle Romines, 83, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 2:05 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at her home. She was born January 21, 1926 in rural Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Russell McFarland and Undine Hess McFarland. On December 15, 1945 she married W.C. "Craig" Romines in Martinsville, IL. He passed away on April 1, 1985. Survivors include her twin sons, Les Romines and wife Lynn of Mt. Zion, IL and Wes Romines and wife Linda of Martinsville, IL and two granddaughters, Brittany Evans of St. Louis, MO and Lindsay Evans of Springfield, IL. Her parents, husband and brother, Lenwood McFarland preceded her in death. Mrs. Romines was a homemaker and a member of the Martinsville United Methodist Church. She was a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxillary. Letha was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed helping people and taking care of her house and garden. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville, IL. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Martinsville United Methodist Church, 115 N.
