Leola Biggs Richards, 85, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Heartland Manor Nursing Home, Casey, IL. She was born February 10, 1922 in Westfield, IL, the daughter of Roscoe L. and Emma Lashbrook Biggs. On October 24, 1942 she married Roger Roy Richards in St. Charles, MO. Survivors include her husband of Casey, IL, sons, Dan Richards and wife Kathy of Tucson, AZ; Jim Richards and wife Pat of Fort Wayne, IN; Gary Richards and wife Diane of Casey, IL; Jerald Richards and wife Amber of Casey, IL; Randy Richards and wife Monica of Casey, IL; daughters, Patty Richards of Casey, IL; Cathy Shotts of Casey, IL; Susan Elkins and husband Scott of Casey, IL; brothers, Lee Biggs of Casey and Doit Biggs and wife Elnor of Westfield, IL; sister, Janice Hawkins of Casey, IL; sister in law, Helen Biggs of Casey, IL; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and brother, Dale Biggs preceded her. Mrs. Richards was a homemaker and a member of the Casey United Methodist Church. She was a past member of the Clark County Home Bureau, Cub Scout Leader, member of the Willis Chapel Ladies Aid and was a substitute teacher in Clark County. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Casey United Methodist Church with Dr. Mark Kaley officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Church. Memorials may be made to the Casey United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 365, 703 N. St. Hwy. 49, Casey, IL 62420.
