Lela Frances"Lea" Hyland's Obituary
Lela Frances "Lea" (Cutright) Hyland passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Copper Creek Cottages in Mattoon, IL. She was born on March 11, 1932 in Union Center, IL, the daughter of Charles Franklin Cutright and Bernice Estella (Short) Cutright. In 1984, she married Gerald "Jerry" Hyland; he passed away in 2010.
Survivors include children, William "Bill" Kull (Linda) of Winsdor, IL; Sandra Bednar (Rick) of Las Vegas, NV; Connie Meyer of Shelbyville, IL; Michael "Mike" Kull (Dreena) of Casey, IL; brother, Max Cutright (Rose) of Ashmore, IL; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son, Robert CJ Kull Jr., brother, C. Lee Cutright; sister, Elsie Mae (Cutright) Dillier; and son-in-law, Charlie Meyer.
Lea attended Casey High School. She was an avid antique collector and loved to travel visiting many countries. She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed her flower gardens. Lea also enjoyed restoring houses.
Graveside inurnment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Harmony Cemetery, rural Greenup, IL with Pastor Tony Crouch officiating.
The family requests donations in Lea 's memory to Carle Hospice, 4116 Fieldstone Rd., Champaign, IL 61822.
