Leah Fern Gossett Todd's Obituary
Leah Fern Gossett Todd of Danville, IL, formerly of Casey passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville. She was born April 24, 1914 in Moonshine, IL to Ransom E. Deverick and Etta M. Smith Deverick. She married Robert Gossett on June 2, 1937 and he passed away on February 2, 1968. She then married Gerald Todd on June 14, 1975 and he passed away on January 26, 1999. Survivors include three sons, Robert B. Gossett of Dinkelsbuhl, Germany, Larry Gossett and wife Sandy of Charleston and Richard Gossett of Casey, a daughter Kay Ann Donley and husband Robert of Danville, two stepsons Robert Todd and wife Bonnie and Jeff Todd and stepdaughter Carol Haug and husband Ed. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Brigitte Baker and husband Darrell of Cleburne, Texas, Robin Gossett of Charleston and Ginger Landrus and husband Greg of Terre Haute and a brother-in-law Gale Baker of Charleston and sister-in-law Betty Gossett of Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 sisters Lois Baker and Freda Applegate and a brother-in-law Richard Max Gossett. Leah was a former employee of Ettelbrick Shoe Company in Casey and a bookkeeper at Lindley Chevrolet in Charleston. She was a graduate of Casey High School, a member of Casey United Methodist Church and a member of Areta #79 OES of Casey. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Markwell & Son Funeral Home, Casey with Pastor Mike Southards officiating. Burial will be in Casey-Cumberland Cemetery.
