Larry Gene Bishop, Sr., age 68, of Toledo, IL formerly of Paris, IL passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the home of his brother in Oakland, IL. He was born September 27, 1947 in Paris, IL, the son of Henry Gene Bishop and Woneda "Juanita" Faye Clark Bishop. On March 2, 1973 he married Emily Paprotske in Pekin, IL. Survivors include his wife, Emily Bishop of Toledo, IL; sons, Larry G. (Juli) Bishop, Jr. of Greenup, IL; Luke H. (Peggy) Bishop of Charleston, IL and Jimmy E. Bishop of Oilfield, PA; daughters, Tonya K. Mayo of Fort Smith, AR and Kelly A. Zuber of Shippenville, PA; brother, Lonnie (Sharon) Bishop of Oakland, IL; sisters, Janice (Doug) Maloney of Paris, IL and Carolyn (Ron) Gaither of Morton, IL; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry was a retired self-employed regional truck driver. He enjoyed camping in his motor home and woodworking. He collected and built electric model train and track set ups. At his request cremation rites were accorded.
