L Lorene Hanners' Obituary
L. Lorene Hanners, 76, of Greenup, Illinois passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Cumberland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Greenup, Illinois. She was born October 27, 1932 in Rose Hill, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur Harry Swick and Georgiana Chapman Swick. On July 26, 1952 she married Leland D. Hanners, he passed away on April 5, 1998. Survivors include daughters, Kathy Smith and husband Ron of Casey, Illinois; Karen Yocum and husband Rick of Jewett, Illinois; Kay Loftis and husband Gary of Robinson, IL; granddaughter, Lindsey Thompson and husband Anthony of Casey, IL; brother, Roger Swick and wife Jane of Charleston, South Carolina; sister, Connie Jean Mooney and husband Larry of Dix, Illinois. Her parents, husband, brothers, James, Lewis, Noel and Robert Dean Swick and an infant brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Hanners was a homemaker and stitcher for Casey Ettlebrick Shoe Factory. She attended the Martinsville First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, Illinois with Bro. Art Orndorff officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery, south of Casey, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7363 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Memorial tributes may be sent to the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com.
