Kathleen Delores Montgomery's Obituary
Kathleen Delores Montgomery, 53, of Casey, IL passed away at 2:34 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born June 13, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to Lyndon James Stretton and Opal Monzelle Morse Dickey. She married Gary L. Montgomery on July 3, 1981 in Charleston, IL. Survivors include her husband, Gary "Buck" Montgomery of Casey, IL; step-children, Kandy Jurumbo and husband Brian; Korey Montgomery; and Melissa Montgomery, all of Charlotte, NC; sister, Bobbie Ritter and husband Dean of Tacoma, WA; brother, Sam Stretton and wife Diane of Santa Rosa, CA; half-sisters, Sandra Dickey Barrier of Sheridan, IL and Mary Jo Dickey Keeler of St. Louis, MO; mother-in-law, Mary Lou "Mom" Allison of Martinsville, IL and grandchildren, Katelyn, Bria, Dante, Jalen, Brookelyn and Raven. Her parents, and two brothers, Angelo Anslem Stretton and Jim Milliken, preceded her. Kathy worked as a State Certified Dietician for Birchwood Nursing Home in Casey, IL. She was a former Club Manager for Casey Moose Lodge, and a Bartender at the Bottle House in Casey, IL. Kathy loved cooking, gardening, hunting, and fishing; she especially enjoyed mushroom hunting. She was known as the girl with a "million dollar smile." She had a kind heart and was loved by everyone for her smile and wonderful sense of humor. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Pastor David Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, 700 Broadway Ave., Mattoon, IL 61938 or American Cancer Society, 2509 S.
