Katherine Eliza Robey Middleton's Obituary
Katherine Eliza Robey Middleton, 97, of Hollywood, FL formerly of Casey, IL passed away at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Rainbow Place Assisted Living in Hollywood, FL. She was born on July 29, 1912 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Artie Christopher Robey and Sylvia Jane Beasley Robey. In 1933 in Indianapolis, IN, she married Jesse Jerold Middleton. He passed away in 1979. Katherine is survived by two daughters, Beverly Kay White of Hollywood, FL, and Katherine Ann Saine and husband Richard of Nashville, TN; son, Jesse Jerold Middleton, Jr. and wife Emily of Hollywood, FL; brother, Paul W. Robey of Casey, IL; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Pearl H. Robey, and sister, Zelta L. Burton. She was a homemaker, making her home in Florida while spending summers in Casey. She was a member of Doraville Christian Church in Georgia. Katherine was a graduate from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and later attended Indiana University. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Washington Street Cemetery with the Reverend Doctor Penelope Barber officiating. Visitation will be held at Markwell Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Memorial tributes and condolences may be sent to the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com.
