Judith Ilene Black Budd's Obituary
Judith Ilene (Black) Budd, age 77, of Casey, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 6:34 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 5, 1942 in Union Township, Cumberland County, IL, the daughter of Darrel Eugene Black and Loteal Ellen Melton Black. On July 2, 1961 she married the love of her life, Larry Dean Budd in the Macedonia Baptist Church in Cumberland County, Illinois. He passed away on August 17, 2009. Survivors include sons, Loren Darrel Budd of Phoenix, AZ; Larry Dean Budd II (Rhonda) of Casey, IL; Charles Dewayne Budd of Casey, IL; John David Budd (Gale) of Issaquah, WA; daughter, Alma Julene Ellen Redding (Bruce) of Mesa, AZ; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Eugene Black, Jesse Black (Marian) and Roger Black (Debbie) all of Casey, IL; sisters, Ruby Virginia Luedeman, Sharon Howe (Randy), Kathy Beasley (Jerry) and Brenda McComas (Loyd) all of Casey, IL; many nephews, nieces, friends and her Church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Gerald Black and wife Roberta and daughter, LaDeana Ilene Budd. Judy was a 1960 graduate of Casey High School. She worked for the Clark County Ambulance Service" " Casey Division for over seventeen years. Judy was a dedicated school crossing guard for over thirty-four years and spent seventeen years working as a Certified Nurses Aid at Heartland Nursing Center in Casey. Judy was a proud resident of Casey and enjoyed working in the community; she enjoyed volunteering her time with boy scouts, girl scouts, 4-H, and ESDA. Judy was a faithful member of Casey First Baptist Church where she volunteered as a leader with Awanas, Bible school and Sunday school. She never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Judy enjoyed the outdoors and nature, gardening, collecting coins, old cemeteries and spending time with her many friends at Church and with her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 1075 Co Rd 2400, Casey, IL with Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, rural Casey, IL. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
