Joyce Ann Weaver's Obituary
Joyce Ann Weaver, age 88, of Casey, IL passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Casey, IL. She was born July 25, 1936 in Pony Mountain, IL, the daughter of Bryan Daniel Williams and Gladys Leta (Chapman) Williams. On July 3, 1955 she married Harold Eugene "Gene" Weaver in Moonshine, IL; he passed away July 6, 2011.
Survivors include her children, Rhonda Ranae Clark and husband Jim of Casey, IL, Cindy Burris and husband Randy of Clermont, FL, and Ronald Eugene Weaver and wife Cindy of Fayetteville, GA; eight grandchildren, Josh Clark (Jodi), Tiffany Burkybile (Brian), Brandon Clark, Brant Burris (Leah), Emily Burris, Bryce Burris, Lexy Brown (Trenton), and Abby Weaver; nine great grandchildren, Caden Burkybile, Blake Burkybile, Ava Burkybile, Kayla Clark, Brayden Clark, Everleigh Burris, Adleigh Paladino, Emerson Brown, Quinn Burris; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gene of fifty-six years; siblings, Leland Williams, Leta Kell, Lena May Williams, Anita Weaver, Lowell Williams, and Carol Boyer.
Joyce was a 1954 graduate of Casey High School. She took pride in co-owning the family farm since 1966. Joyce had worked at the ASCS office in Martinsville and as a cook at Richards Farm Restaurant. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for many years. Joyce loved her family and enjoyed cooking big meals for family gatherings (including her famous noodles and meatloaf). She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, and painting.
Private family services were held at Markwell Funeral Home with burial in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL.
