Josephine May Lefler's Obituary
Josephine May Lefler, 80, of Jewett, IL passed away at 7:25 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011 at her home. She was born January 23, 1931, in Excelsior Springs, MO, the daughter of Miles V. Connour and Gladys Golladay Connour. Survivors include son, Russell Kirkly of Chicago, IL; daughters, Patricia Sanders and husband Stephen of Mattoon, IL; Linda Lewis of Mattoon, IL; Mary Jones of Martinsville, IL; Barb Lefler of Jewett, IL; brothers, Mervin Connour and wife Susan of Montana; Duane Connour and wife Sharon of Hindsboro, IL and Eddie Connour of Hindsboro, IL; sisters, Pat Bucker of Toledo, IL; Dorothy Kortum of Montana and Audry Connour of Arizona; ten grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, son, Jim Lefler and daughters, Marilyn Luckey and Joyce Lefler. Mrs. Lefler was a homemaker and worked in area factories and area farms. She attended the Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL with Pastor Stephen Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
