Joseph W. Kellar, Jr. 66, of Casey, IL passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born January 24, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Joseph William Kellar, Sr. and Mary Jane Dethridge Kellar. On February 10, 2008 he married Linda M. Myers Kingery in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife, Linda Kellar of Casey, IL; step-daughter, Julie Gard and husband Len of Casey, IL; step-son, Brian Stout and wife Crystal of Casey, IL; brother, Phil Kellar and wife Ginny of Martinsville, IN; sister, Sandy Shaw and husband Lindsay of Avon, IN; sister, Mary Ann Alford of Greenwood, IN, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Mr. Kellar was retired from the US Navy as a Senior Chief Cryptologic Tech - E8 after twenty four years of service. He was a member of the Amvets of Pensacola, FL and also attended the First Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ) in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Ron Juenger officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Cemetery south of Casey, IL with Graveside Military Rites by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2509 S.
