John Rowe Williams' Obituary
John Rowe Williams of Martinsville, IL, our beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord at 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at age 73. He was born on April 2, 1939 in Long Island, New York, the son of Albin and Neoma Edith Rowe Williams. On June 24, 1967, he married Patricia Sue Crouse in Newton, IL. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Williams of Martinsville, IL, to whom he was happily married for 45 years; son, Tony Williams and wife Jenny of Marshall, IL; son, Eric Williams and wife Meredith of Marshall, IL; daughter, Holly Kunkel and husband Jeff of Maryville, MO; brother, Timothy Williams and wife Debbie of Casey, IL; sister, Ellen Norton and husband Glen of Martinsville, IL and Christine Wood and husband Don of Ventura, CA; granddaughters, Brianna Welch, Ashton Williams, Makenna Williams and grandson, Jared Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Lane and beloved daughter, Valerie Williams. John was a faithful member of his church, community and an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Loved deeply by his family and friends; he served in the Martinsville Bible Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and the Martinsville Class of 1957. He was retired from Rowe Foundry, his family's business and the legacy to which he devoted his entire working life and career. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14 at the Martinsville Bible Church, 590 Ridgelawn Rd., Martinsville, IL with Rev. David Wilson and Bro. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Martinsville Bible Church Building Fund, 590 Ridgelawn Rd., Martinsville, IL 62442. Memorial tributes may be shared with the family at www.greenwellfh.com.
