Joan Vale Hills' Obituary
Joan Vale Hills, age 87, of Casey, IL, formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away at 10:00 am on Monday, September 16, 2019 at her home. She was born on March 14, 1932 in Orange Township, Clark County, IL the daughter of James Elphus Vale and Emily Elizabeth Crandall Vale. Survivors include her three sons, Jim Hills (Donna) of Chandler, AZ, twins, Gary Hills of Gays, IL and Terry Hills of Mattoon, IL; grandsons, Jamie Hills (Jamie), Roger Hills (Joyce), Matthew Hills (fiancé Megan Markham) and Ryan Hills; granddaughters, Rebekah Beard (Bruce) and Amy Hills and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Doyle Hills and Leland R. Jones, and daughter in law, Nancy A. (Gordon) Hills. Joan worked at TRW and Ettlebrick Shoe Factory. She also was a live in Home Care provider. Joan was a faithful member of the Martinsville Baptist Church and Daughters of American Revolution. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and had a love for jewelry and sewing. Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL with Pastor Randy Black and Pastor Art Orndorff officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N Central Ave. Casey, IL.
